Cohabitas Blending “cohabitation” and “habitat”—intentional shared living.

Welcome to the New League of Cities

Living Engines for Human and Civilizational Ascent

✦ The Civilizational Context

Throughout history, transformational epochs have been shaped by the creation of new spaces — not only physical, but metaphysical. The Agora of Athens, the Hanseatic guild halls, the salons of Paris, MIT’s Building 20, Bell Labs, and the early hacker houses of Silicon Valley — each of these was more than a place. Each was a living node in an emergent network: an engine of meaning, invention, and possibility.

Today, as humanity stands at the edge of multiple thresholds — AI, ecological limits, economic reordering, cosmic expansion — what is needed is not just policy, venture capital, or institutions. What is needed is a new civic architecture: one that accelerates individual potential, binds networks of aligned genius, and incubates the values and technologies of the next civilization.

Enter: the xHouses.

xHouses are a globally distributed alliance of next-generation residential micro-communities—our version of embassies for the civilization to come.

Whether in Nairobi, New York, Berlin or Bogotá, each House is a sanctuary for ambitious individuals, a coworking colive for bold thinkers, founders, researchers, artists, engineers, and policy architects building tomorrow’s world.

"xHouses" — think local community embassies that serve as catalytic micro-centers of human progress, knowledge creation, and startup acceleration. Distributed residential micro-hubs — part co-living, part co-working, part learning commons — that anchor the presence of xCelero Labs in key cities. They act as both local cultural outposts and interconnected nodes in a broader global innovation network, much like the creative energy of hacker houses in Silicon Valley (i.e guilds, each house is a node in a larger architecture of human flourishing. the Hanseatic League or AGI House network), and the intentionality of monastic schools and civic guilds, each house is a node in a larger architecture of human flourishing.

Each house is a franchise-like node for the emerging “Civilizational Operating System” xCelero is building — a prototype of living, learning, and building in harmony with human potential and technological frontiers.

✦ The Function and Form

These are not homes. They are not startups. They are not campuses.

They are synthetic monasteries for the modern polymath — distributed embassies of an emerging planetary League whose members recognize that the frontier is not just technological, but human. Each embassy is a living organism, designed to hold paradoxes in tension:

  • Silence and Serendipity

  • Monastic focus and Civic exchange

  • Radical intimacy and Global coordination

They are autonomous nodes, each embedded in a city — but simultaneously trans-local, interoperable with others via shared protocols, rituals, values, and data flows.

✦ Architectural Principles of an Embassy

Each embassy is built with ritual and utility in harmony:

  • The Threshold – a liminal entry where each visitor is initiated into the story of the house and the larger network.

  • The Commons – a civic cathedral, a room with high ceilings and wide minds; the space for salons, debates, and convergences.

  • The Lab – silent, intense, wired for emergence; the sacred dojo of deep builders.

  • The Quarters – minimalist but elegant, enabling rest, reflection, and shared domesticity.

  • The Garden – physical or metaphorical, a space for nature, disorder, chaos, and renewal.

Each embassy should be both hyperlocal (responding to its culture, aesthetics, and climate) and networked (designed as a fractal of the whole).

Guiding Philosophy

1. The League Spirit

Inspired by the Hanseatic League, we are rebuilding a 21st-century alliance of cities and citizens — not around trade routes, but around flows of talent, ideas, tools, and ventures.

  • Networked Cities: Each house strengthens the local-global network of aligned thinkers and builders.

  • Collective Power: Shared standards, rituals, and goals make every node stronger.

2. The New Agora

Each house is a modern Agora — a space for debate, exchange, creation, and cultural fusion.

  • Coliving: Deep human connection and lifestyle integration.

  • Coworking: Collaborative productivity powered by tools, discipline, and knowledge flow.

  • Commons: Open events, idea jams, dinners, salons, and community building.

3. The Human Accelerator

Every house is a human development engine, designed to:

  • Attract and accelerate the top 1% of future-shapers.

  • Provide the infrastructure of ambition: environment, peers, tools, and access.

  • Turn raw potential into real impact through structured peer learning and project co-creation.

Strategic Functions of xCelero Houses:

  1. Civic-innovation microhubs → Incubate local initiatives in tech, policy, and design.

  2. Residency programs → Host xCelero Fellows, community leaders, and creative teams.

  3. Pop-up accelerators & labs → Pilot xCelero programs like the Human Accelerator.

  4. Embassies of the League → Cultivate cross-city, cross-country alliances.

  5. Community-first coliving → Prioritize trust, collaboration, and transformative growth.

Manifesto

We believe great ideas rarely emerge from isolation. That building the future must be a shared, lived, and embodied experience. That homes can be platforms. That cities can be networks. That civilization is not a given, but a choice we remake every day.

We are the custodians of emergence, architects of the impossible, engineers of beauty.

We are the Xcelero House Network.

We do not rent rooms—we seed revolutions.

Who Lives in a Cohabitas House?

Cohabitas is home to the rare few who blur the line between dreaming and doing.

You’ll find founders and operators building daring ventures from first principles, and researchers and academics questioning the deepest assumptions of our age. Artists, designers, and writers explore the edges of beauty, while engineers and technologists prototype the systems of tomorrow. Alongside them, urbanists, policy thinkers, and civic hackers work to rewire the infrastructures of modern life

Cohabitas is not defined by titles or credentials, but by orientation—toward curiosity, contribution, and civilization-scale thinking.

You’ll find the unusual suspects here: A founder building regenerative supply chains in Lagos. A cognitive scientist exploring the nature of collective intelligence in Kyoto. A designer reimagining digital public space from her Berlin bedroom. A climate technologist prototyping new cooling systems in Delhi. A fiction writer forecasting speculative worlds in Medellín.

Residency Pathways

We offer multiple ways to plug into the Cohabitas network, each designed to meet you where you are in your journey.

The Core Fellowship A 3–12 month full immersion experience, often subsidized by local partners or the League itself. Core Fellows help shape house culture and often lead frontier projects from within the ecosystem.

Visiting Scholars & Builders Shorter stays (1–3 months) for experienced individuals who contribute thought leadership, workshops, or technical mentorship. Ideal for those looking to give back, prototype something meaningful, or recharge creatively.

Builder-in-Residence A flexible format for early-stage founders or teams aligned with Xcelero Labs’ frontier themes—climate, AI, policy, and more. Residents get access to a global launchpad while remaining rooted in a high-trust, high-bandwidth environment.

What Happens Inside a Cohabitas House?

Cohabitas houses are living laboratories for new ways of thinking, working, and being in the world. Inside, you’ll find:

  • Weekly idea dinners and thought salons where intellectual collisions are encouraged.

  • Sprint labs and hackathons focused on thematic challenges—climate adaptation, civic tech, learning systems, and more.

  • Local innovation studios incubating projects in water, housing, energy, and education.

  • Curated connections to Xcelero Labs’ global mentor, investor, and partner networks.

  • And woven throughout: rituals, shared meals, reading circles, and house-to-house exchanges that build not just progress—but belonging.

Weekly Rhythm at Cohabitas

Each Cohabitas house follows a shared weekly cadence—designed to foster deep focus, creative collaboration, and collective growth.

Year-Round Flagship Programs

Beyond daily rituals, each Cohabitas house hosts and contributes to global initiatives that shape the future of the network.

The Builders' Cycle

A year-long structure for residents building projects or ventures. Includes seasonal sprints, global demo days, mentorship, and prototyping labs across the network.

The Becoming Fellowship

A curated inner-growth journey for selected residents. Monthly sessions explore identity, purpose, and transformation. Fellows graduate by hosting a final public salon.

Global Challenge Labs

Each year, the League sets 3–4 global challenges—climate, governance, AI, education. Residents form teams across cities to develop scalable solutions, backed by Xcelero Labs.

House Academy

Every house is a living university. Residents offer and join short-format masterclasses and peer-led sessions on systems, creativity, and leadership. All knowledge is logged in a shared archive.

The Ritual Seasons

The Cohabitas network follows a seasonal rhythm:

  • Season of Assembly (Q1): Vision-setting, onboarding, goal alignment

  • Season of Building (Q2): Experiments, launches, collective sprints

  • Season of Sharing (Q3): Open salons, city engagement, summits

  • Season of Legacy (Q4): Reflection, documentation, celebration

Cohabitas is a space for the unfinished, the forming, the emergent. It’s not a place to hide out from the world— It’s a place to build what comes after it.
