Our Goal
Since its inception, youthXcelero has been committed to empowering the next generation of African innovators. We provide young people with the platform to take an active role in shaping their future by participating in high-impact projects, attending international events, and contributing to the development of their communities.
Annual youthXcelero Summit
The annual youthXcelero Summit is the highlight of our organization. This event brings together youth delegates from across Africa to engage in workshops, networking sessions, and collaborative projects. The Summit focuses on themes such as entrepreneurship, sustainable development, and cross-border collaboration, empowering delegates to take actionable steps towards their goals.
Since 2020, young people between the ages of 18 and 30 have had the chance to be part of Africa's most dynamic startup ecosystem network. As XceleroYouth delegates, they regularly participate in the annual Xcelero Summit, collaborating with entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders to shape the future of innovation in Africa.
The xCelero Summit is the highlight of our organization. Here, we engage in open-minded, non-political exchange, contributing to our own program and the broader Xcelero Labs mission.
During these summits, we take part in a program that evolves each year but always focuses on the core values of innovation, collaboration, Pan-African growth, and sustainable development.
As an autonomous organ of Xcelero Labs, we have our own statutes outlined in our bylaws. They cover topics such as our official languages, which include English, French, and Swahili to reflect Africa's linguistic diversity.
At our annual assembly of delegates, we discuss our progress and chart the course for our network's future growth.
Throughout our events, we forge friendships, exchange ideas, and strategize on how to expand our impact across the continent.
XceleroYouth - Catalyzing Africa's path to prosperity.
XceleroYouth - the youth organization of Xcelero Labs - aims to inspire young Africans to embrace entrepreneurship and innovation. We facilitate international and intercultural exchange between young visionaries across the continent. Our delegates participate in the annual xCelero Summit and develop projects that make significant contributions to Africa's startup ecosystem and cross-border collaboration.
XceleroYouth Commission
The XceleroYouth Commission consists of five young leaders with equal voting rights and responsibilities. They represent XceleroYouth outside of the annual summits and coordinate activities year-round. While there's no chairperson, we have a spokesperson who represents XceleroYouth in delegates' meetings, commission meetings of Xcelero Labs, and at official events.
The current commission was elected at the Xcelero Summit 2024 in Nairobi. Elected delegates serve on the commission until the next election at the xCelero Summit 2026.

Being part of XceleroYouth means actively participating in our programs, engaging in discussions, contributing to decision-making, and building connections with fellow innovators. To qualify, you should be a resident of an African country, at least 18 years old, and confident in speaking English, French, or Swahili.
Events & Activities
Cross-Border Initiatives: Participate in joint projects with youth from different African countries, fostering collaboration and shared learning.
Local Chapters: Engage with fellow youthXcelero members in your city or region through regular meetups, workshops, and community service projects.
International Exchange: Take part in exchange programs that allow you to experience different cultures and bring new perspectives back to your home country.
