# Learning at Artemis Project

The Artemis Project: Redesigning Education for a Changing World An Exploration of Undergraduate Experiences for the Future&#x20;

{% embed url="<https://youtu.be/Gr9tzWefNwE>" %}

### OUR PROCESS

&#x20;A dedicated design team from the Artemis Project collaborated with hundreds of insightful, creative, and committed students, faculty, and administrators over the course of a year to delve into the future of education. We considered various perspectives—from how students prepare for a transformative education while still in high school, to patterns of decision-making about what and how they study, to the evolving needs and expectations of future employers.

### &#x20;PROVOCATIONS TO SPARK EXPERIMENTS AN INVITATION TO TRAVEL THROUGH TIME&#x20;

The project culminated in an experiential exhibit entitled "Artemis 2100," accessible to participants globally. To foster an exploratory mindset, the event was staged as a time-travel journey. The community embarked on a voyage to the distant future—landing just at the moment when the University of Artemis was looking back retrospectively at major paradigm shifts that "happened" around 2100. These possible shifts were shared as provocations—a subjective, student-centered imagining of what could occur as the future unfolds. Here, on this platform, we invite you to travel with us and explore these possible futures. We hope you will use the provocations—and the tools available here—to spark your own vision for the future of higher education by trying some experiments. Now, strap in, and let’s journey to the year 2100…&#x20;

### Instructions for Participants

You will engage in a series of assignments designed to stretch your imagination, challenge your assumptions, and inspire action. To fully immerse yourself in this experience and earn a digital badge for participation, you will need to complete the following key assignments:

<table data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th><th></th><th data-type="files"></th><th data-hidden data-card-target data-type="content-ref"></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>TRY </td><td>Objective: Engage with one of the provocations presented—whether it's Open Loop Learning, Adaptive Paced Education, or any other future scenario. Create a small-scale experiment or prototype that explores the possibilities within this chosen future. This could be a project, a design, or even a conceptual framework.</td><td><p></p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong> Document your process and outcomes, focusing on what you learned, what surprised you, and how this future scenario could impact education.</p></td><td><a href="/files/oLcfZs04UgW7oUErtceK">/files/oLcfZs04UgW7oUErtceK</a></td><td><a href="/pages/qJ7n6UyYBmqAWNMzCART">/pages/qJ7n6UyYBmqAWNMzCART</a></td></tr><tr><td>IMAGINE</td><td><strong>Objective:</strong> Using the insights gained from your experiment, imagine a new educational model or tool that could emerge by 2100. Think broadly and creatively, considering how different stakeholders—students, educators, institutions—might interact within this model.</td><td><p></p><p></p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong> Create a detailed vision statement, supported by sketches, diagrams, or narrative descriptions that articulate how your imagined future would function.</p></td><td><a href="/files/zBpC2Qov5D1rT0jNcTHY">/files/zBpC2Qov5D1rT0jNcTHY</a></td><td><a href="/pages/5h12xumIrLGiJ36e0W5u">/pages/5h12xumIrLGiJ36e0W5u</a></td></tr><tr><td>ACT </td><td><strong>Objective:</strong> Take the first steps toward making your imagined future a reality. Develop a plan for implementation, identifying key challenges, necessary resources, and potential collaborators. Your goal is to move from concept to actionable steps.</td><td><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong> Submit a project plan outlining your approach, including a timeline, milestones, and a reflection on the potential impact of your project.</p></td><td><a href="/files/8VMqWkePNX7dazaJCPxW">/files/8VMqWkePNX7dazaJCPxW</a></td><td><a href="/pages/G9Yw55tb4iwm0z1utQbi">/pages/G9Yw55tb4iwm0z1utQbi</a></td></tr></tbody></table>

#### Earning Your Digital Badge

To be awarded the digital badge for your participation in the Artemis 2100 Experience, you must:

* **Complete all three key assignments** (Try, Imagine, Act) and submit your documentation for each.
* **Participate in at least one community discussion** related to the provocations. This can be done through online forums or during scheduled live sessions.
